A: We recommend the following cleaning and maintenance routine for the Leica CV5030 coverslipper:


Daily:


  • Clean working surfaces and slide positioners (the module where the slide is placed for coverslipping), gripper, load container, coverslip magazine, loading door with xylene and keep all areas free from mounting medium and glass.

  • Refill prime solution container with clean and fresh reagent.

  • Place dispenser module into prime position at the end of the working day.

  • Remove mounting medium residues from output rack.



    • Weekly:


    Clean suction cups with a tissue (no xylene)! Quarterly:


    Replace carbon filter


    Annually:


    Preventative Maintenance by a Leica Service Representative.
