Is it possible to adapt the new Leica RM2245 hand-wheel on the RM2145 rotary microtome?

No, it is not possible to fit the RM2245 hand-wheel on the RM2145 rotary microtome. The cover (housing) of the RM2145 has in the area of the hand-wheel a collar which does not fit to the lever of the new hand-wheel brake. Due to the modified base plate it is not possible to fit the new RM22...-cover onto the RM2145 rotary microtome.
