Leica special steel disposable microtome blades are marketed in an easy-to-use dispenser containing 50 durable blades. These coated blades produce superior ribbon sectioning results. Two different versions are available for all known paraffin sectioning and cryosectioning applications. Leica blades are manufactured by Jung Feintechnik GmbH, Germany, exclusively for Leica Microsystems.

Steel Blades:

• Low profile blades - type 819
  profile c (36°), length of 80 mm, height 8 mm, thickness 0,25 mm
• High profile blades - type 818
  profile c (36°), length of 80 mm, height 14 mm, thickness 0,35 mm

Tungsten Carbide Blades:

• TC65 blades
